Thursday (4/23), the day before Ramadhan 1441 H, Wako AJB along with his beloved wife, Hj Emizola Asafri, decided to go around to each District to hand over food aid directly to residents of Sungai River community who were affected by the spread of Covid-19 Virus.

The assistance scheme for residents of Sungai Penuh City affected by Corona, prepared by Sungai Pemkot City is very serious, so that it can really help, be useful and be on target.

Sungai Penuh City Government disbursed funds of around Rp 13 billion to help the people affected by Corona with food aid in the form of Rice.

Data from the Sungai Penuh City Social Service, no less than 24,995 families affected by Corona in Sungai Penuh City will be given food assistance in the form of rice prepared as many as 1,297.6 tons.

“The government must show concern, must help the community,” said Wako AJB in the direction after delivering aid.
Sungai Penuh City Government, explained Wako AJB, has conducted refocusing and reallocation of activity budget for 2020 to help the people affected by Corona Virus.

“We take the funds for social assistance by reducing activities by 50 percent, which is not important we divert the budget to help the community,” he explained.

As explained by Wako AJB, the distribution of food aid in the form of rice to 24,995 heads of families affected by Corona in Sungai Sungai City is targeted to be completed by around 28 April 2020.

This is in view of the large number of aid packages that must be prepared by the Bulog as the Rice provider partner. Surely it will take time in packaging and distribution. Wako asked residents to be patient.
There are three groups of recipients of food aid in the form of rice from the City of Sungai Penuh government, namely:

First, the poor families who received PKH and BPNT assistance / assistance from the Ministry of Social Welfare as many as 2,417 families, were given additional rice assistance of 16 kg / household per month for 3 months, from April to June 2020.
Second, poor families are registered in the integrated social welfare data (DTKS) of 4,157 HHs given 24nkg / HH of Rice food assistance per month for 3 months, April to June 2020.

Third, poor vulnerable families or workers affected by Covid 19, not registered in the integrated social welfare data of 18,381 HHs were given 16 kg of rice / HH monthly assistance for 3 months, April to June 2020.

The criteria for vulnerable poor families groups are: Population of Sungai Penuh City, Informal sector workers (hawkers, street vendors, mobile traders, farmers, breeders, day laborers, small workshops, tailors, barber, masseur / massage and other similar workers) , workers in trade and industry, workers in tourism, business owners in the field of trade and industry of micro and small scale businesses, non-permanent employees / Non PNS. residents who work as scavengers, pensioners.

In accordance with the direction of the central government, said Wako AJB, there are three main targets that become the target of the River City government in assisting the community amid Corona outbreaks namely health care, social assistance and the economy of the community.

Wako AJB revealed, various efforts had been taken by the municipal government of Sungai Sungai in the context of preventing and handling the spread of Covid 19 and at the same time helping the community.

The mayor of the two periods ensured that the full Sungai Pemkot would still be ready to help the community if needed. “We hope that Covid-19 Virus will soon be over,” he added.

Not to forget the Wako conveyed the messages of Ramadan to all citizens in each district in the city of Sungai Penuh.

“Fasting helps fight the Covid-19 virus. Because fasting does not only clean the outward, but also clean the inner. Hopefully Covid-19 will end soon, “he said. (oga)
